To all my new Horological friends , Latin for the study of time.   I spent over 35 years in the profession of clock and watch repair.   I owned a jewelery store in So. Calif for that time period and was doing watch and clock repair for 2 generations of several different families.  Plus trade work for 7 different retail stores.

Of the years of working as an adult and raising a family of 5 Girls.  Which I have lost 2 of.   Now My youngest is 50 years old.   I have enjoyed the horological trade the most.   Every day was a challenge.   After years as an 18 wheel truck driver,  and chasing that white line, which I never found the end of.  I found there was a better  and more fun and satisfying way of life  with many more challenges plus a feeling of accomplishment when day was over.   I have enjoyed this profession the most.  I enjoyed getting up in morning and going to work.

I made house calls to repair grand father, wall clocks.   I have repaired clocks that people took to other repair persons and some times in just a few minutes because the clock was not understood by that person or they had little or no knowledge of clocks or that particular  clock or they just didn’t c omplete there work.   In the years of clock repair I have repaired clocks that others have given up on, for one reason or other.

If you have a question about clocks or the repair of clocks I would like to help,  in any way I can.   Send a comment or question and will answer if possible.   I do still have some parts for clocks and watches.  Not an enormous amount but I might be able to point you in the right direction to obtain those parts, or knowledge,or what book to look at or I may have that book for sale.    When I started  out I did a lot of reading and out lining of books I read, just to get the info in my head and help remember.
